Aroma: Zunächst eine elegante Süße und etwas Frucht. Dahinter eine deutlich florale Note und etwas Eiche.
Geschmack: Rund und weich auf der Zunge. Die anfängliche Süße von Honig geht in Sherry, Eiche und Gewürze über.
Abgang: Langanhaltend und süß. Zum Ende erneute Eichenwürze.
Farbe: Safran (M6).
Der Aberfeldy 16 Jahre ergänzt nun die 12- und die 21-jährigen Single Malts der Aberfeldy Brennerei. Die Lagerung erfolgte in Ex-Bourbonfässern und Sherryfässern. Diese geben dem weichen Brennereicharakter von Aberfeldy mehr Volumen und Komplexität mit. Der Aberfeldy 16 Jahre wird mit 40.0% vol. abgefüllt und wird gefärbt. Alter 16 Jahre.
