Aroma: Viel tropische Fruchtnoten mit Passionsfrucht und Ananas. Dann Vanille und der Eindruck von Sherry und Gewürzen.
Geschmack: Weich und samtig auf der Zunge. Süße Vanille und Honig. Erneut viel Frucht, dann würziger mit dem Eindruck von Portwein, Tabak und Lakritz.
Abgang: Mittellang und würzig süß mit Vanille und Pfeffer.
Planteray Rum Guatemala & Belize Gran Anejo wird im Double-Aging-Verfahren gelagert und reifte zunächst in amerikanischen Ex-Bourbonfässern. Im Anschluss tritt der Rum die Reise nach Frankreich an und wird im Keller von Cognac Ferrand in eben diesen Cognac Fässern ausgebaut. Das Alter wird mit ca. 5 Jahren angegeben. Die Aromen zeugen von intensiven Fruchtkomponenten, Honig und Gewürzen. Im Geschmack finden sich süße Vanille, tropische Früchte und etwas Eiche.
